July 13, 2024 – Assist with various activities CVAC will be hosting at this year’s Downtown Duncan Days.
July 27, 2024 – Outdoor Art Market assistance. We are looking for lots of hands on volunteers to assist during our annual summer art market taking place Downtown Duncan, such as setting up & taking down art stations, asking questions, and watching art stations while artists take breaks throughout the day.

Are you a youth looking to get involved with an arts organization & want skill development opportunities? Look no further! Consider volunteering with the Cowichan Valley Arts Council.
Some volunteering perks include, volunteering hours, developing meaningful relationships, expanding your resume, a free one-year membership upon completing 30 hours of volunteering, and more!
Youth Leadership Council
The Cowichan Valley Arts Council is launching a Youth Leadership Council (YLC). Open to any youth (between the ages of 15-29) with a desire to be a leader in our community. Meet with other like-minded youth who want to take action, plan activities for youth, and share youth perspectives.
This opportunity will help you develop fundamental skills in the following:
- Arts administration
- Marketing
- Volunteering
- Event planning & implementation
- Building community relationships, especially in the arts sector
- Share and workshop ideas/projects in a safe space
We are looking for volunteers who are able to meet at least once a month, and keen on developing ideas/events for youth within our community. Must be able to be contacted by email, phone, or through social media, and willingness to complete a criminal record check if necessary.
You’ll build youth events and bring a youth voice to our local arts scene.
