In My Head, a Youth Arts Showcase.
March 3 – April 1, 2023
The theme for this year’s youth art show is mental health. The art will explore dreams, emotions, and wild imaginings. The show celebrates the artistic talents of Cowichan Valley youth (aged 13-21), and participation is free. Register now before the space fills up. (see below)
Prizes: Cash or tickets to see Shane Koyczan (spoken word poet) at the Cowichan Theatre.
3 awards for outstanding art, 6 honourable mentions and 1 people’s choice award.
Dates to remember:
Deadline to register: Feb.21
Art drop off: Tuesday February 28 (9 am – 5 pm)
Opening event: Thursday March 2 (3 – 6 pm)
Rules: Limit of 2 art pieces per student. Size Limit 40 x48 inches or smaller. Two-dimensional pieces must have wired backing and be ready to hang.
