The Cowichan Valley Arts Council (CVAC) is a registered BC non-profit charitable society and was incorporated under the Societies Act on February 2, 1971.

Mission Statement:  The purpose of the Cowichan Valley Arts Council is to enrich community through the lens of arts and culture.

In short, we are one of the main ‘Go To’ venues of local arts and culture. Drop by often and enjoy the many genres on display in PORTALS and the Arbutus Gallery, CVAC’s art and show spaces.   Our programs reflect the vigorous spirit of creativity and self-expression prevalent throughout the region. We also participate in several community events and collaborate with non-profit service organizations in their art-related projects.  PORTALS and the Arbutus Gallery are adjacent to one another, located across from the Ticket Centre in the Island Savings Centre, 2687 James Street in Duncan.
