Project 84,000 is a unique ecology-through-art experience. One thousand Cowichan community members young & old, produced a 216 square metre mural with fish images. Why? To create a visual record of the devastating 2023 climate event, in which 84,000 juvenile steelhead trout were lost to an algal bloom on the Heritage Quw’utsun Sta’lo’ Cowichan River.
