Youth Leadership Council
The Cowichan Valley Arts Council is launching a Youth Leadership Council (YLC). As a YLC volunteer, you’ll help design youth events and at least one youth art exhibition annually. Volunteer hours may be eligible for up to $20 per hour which can be applied to post-secondary education.
This opportunity will help you develop real skills in:
You’ll build youth events and bring a youth voice to our local arts scene.
Kids Pro-D Day Camps
Dates: September 25, October 20 and November 24
8:30-3:30
You’ll support the Camp Facilitator in all aspects of providing kids with a great experience!
From handing out supplies and setting up projects to keeping an eye on who needs help. This means giving a hand, explaining the next steps, and supporting individuals who need special attention. We go outside every day and so you’re walking with kids and ensuring everyone is safe and accounted for. Develop skills in working with children, keeping them engaged and safe. Volunteering for Kids Pro-D Camps expands your leadership toolkit!
Assistant Arts Facilitator – Family Fun
Dates: September 16, October 14, and November 18
Noon -5 pm (May require some planning time)
You’ll help the Arts Facilitator make a great, hands-on art experience for kids and families. These are fun-filled afternoons in the studio with lots of art materials. Volunteers have an opportunity to design and prepare activities, manage supplies, and lead a multi-generational event as part of a team.
Keep an eye out for future youth volunteer opportunities.
