Large format puppets can be a dynamic part of your performance or outdoor community event. They are also a fun activity to do with your kids or a student project. In this two-hour workshop, Heather Kent will demonstrate how you can build simple parade puppets at home using easy to find materials.
You will learn: wonders and art of a parade, a few basic designs, materials and methods for building parade puppets, and some basic manipulation. This is an online demonstration not a hands-on workshop, but the processes are simple enough to do on your own.
This workshop is appropriate for ages 12 and up, parents and children together and teachers. Instructor Heather Kent has had a long career creating puppets in the theatre and teaching others.
RSVP by May 6th to receive the zoom link for the workshop demonstration.
