Pro-d day art camps
For the 2023/24 school year we offer all-day art camps. Children enjoy creative projects in studio spaces and playtime outdoors, facilitated by CVAC artists and experienced volunteers in two parallel groups each Pro-d day. Each group is limited to 12 students. Programs run from 9 am to 3 pm. Children may arrive after 8:30 and must be picked up by 3:15.
All camps are guided by seasonal themes for inspiration and stories. Children bring home a collection of artwork from their day.

September 25:
Round and round: exploring circles and spheres in art and play (Code 61242)
Explore the magic of circles through activities like making pompoms, painting/ coloring and movement. Materials include yarn, paint, paper and misc. crayons and pencils.
October 20:
Feeling Autumn: leaves, colours, harvest. (Code 61245)
Through stories and art we express the feeling of the season. Activities include printmaking, painting and more.
November 24:
Stars are made of Triangles : Artful fun with a dash of winter celebrations. (Code 61247)
Snowflakes, stars and sparkles inspire our art pieces for this day of making decorative pieces to take home.
Our instructors demonstrate and help participants in making garlands, lanterns and more in a small group setting.
September 25
Stitches! Projects with fabric and thread (Code 61241)
Learn simple embroidery techniques, applique and combining fabric pieces into an artful piece.
October 20:
Pumpkin carving extravaganza (Code 61246)
Guided by experienced artists, participants design and produce extraordinary pumpkin sculptures to take home. All tools and materials provided.
November 24:
Build and decorate a Gingerbread house. Code (61248)
Make a work of art and eat it too! Using pre-made gingerbread shapes from a specialty baker , participants design and build their own gingerbread houses to take home. We’re also providing icing and other fun edible bits for decoration. Guided by a young cake decorating artist and baker.
