Introduction to Figure Drawing

Intro to Figure Drawing is for those who are curious about Figure Drawing and participating in Figure Drawing groups. This 2-day class (January 22 and January 29 from 4-6 pm) we will cover the following topics:

  • Where to start: basics of capturing poses
  • Common materials and their uses
  • The role of the host
  • Etiquette when working around a live model
  • Set up and teardown of personal working spaces

Our models for this class will be dressed. Participants receive a basic set of supplies to keep for further practice.

This class will give you the confidence to join our popular Figure Drawing sessions where you will continue the practise of Figure Drawing in a supportive group of fellow artists.

Instructor kimmerT

kimmerT is a storyteller who uses the fine art of an oil painting to communicate messages. As a graduate from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD) University, kimmer’s value as a contemporary artist has been identified by intense study (art history, painting and drawing techniques), skills development, and concept creation. kimmer previously taught drawing class in Jasper.
