Enter the world of contemporary painting with this comprehensive course, designed to guide you through every stage of the painting process from the ground up. Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or looking to refine your skills, this class will provide you with the foundational knowledge and techniques needed to create compelling artworks. Returning students will build on their acquired skills.
Throughout the course, you will learn how to select intriguing subject matter that resonates with you, create preparatory studies to plan your compositions, and develop strong, visually engaging compositions. You’ll explore a variety of essential painting techniques, including underpainting, color mixing, and mark making, all aimed at enhancing your artistic expression.
By the end of this class, you will have gained the confidence and skills to tackle any subject matter, enabling you to create your own contemporary work.
Open to all skill levels, this course welcomes anyone with a passion for painting and a desire to learn.
