Hwiemtun (Fred Roland) is acknowledged as the cultural ambassador for the Cowichan people. He has travelled the globe, sharing and learning traditional knowledge with Indigenous peoples.
Hwiemtun discusses cedar weaving & the skills & knowledge required to work with cedar.
Rob MacLean is a retired high school teacher of history and art history. Before living in the wonderful Cowichan Valley, he taught stints in Montreal and London, UK.
Rob facilitates a dialogue considering artistic interpretation & themes of stewardship.
