Art Needs You!
How does Art impact your life? Business? Community? Take our survey now and let us know!
Do it because Art cares about what you think and how you feel.
Do it for Art. Or the chance to win some money. You decide.
(Art won’t judge you.)
A growing collective of arts councils, including us, from across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands is launching a major campaign to assess the impacts of arts in our communities.
Help us define where, and how, the arts have an impact in our region. Results will be published online and shared across regional industries and interest groups. The information collected will be used to identify where additional supports are needed and to advocate for arts programming and funding.
Digital Innovation Group (DIG) is the collective behind the campaign. Founded in 2019 by six arts councils (Arts Council of Ladysmith and District, Salt Spring Arts Council, Comox Valley Arts, Hornby Island Arts Council, The Old School House Centre, and the Cowichan Valley Arts Council) the group was established with the goal of empowering artists and arts organizations through accessible digital technologies and shared resources. This assessment is being conducted by international consulting firm, Nordicity, and is being funded by the Canada Council for the Arts.
