Guardians – we need them. We set them up at the thresholds of our homes and temples to protect us from evil spirits, thieves, or mischief-makers. Mythic Guardians must be scary and alluring, to draw in and capture our darkest thought monsters. Inspired by the guardians at the doors of Buddhist temples in Japan and Nepal and by the weird canine sculptures at Sala Kaew Ku in Thailand.
