Glacier Collapse
Mixed media

I retired to Gabriola Island, British Columbia in 2018, following a 40-year career including data performance graphics, written and visual communication and data visualization. I have been printmaking for over 3 decades, including water based monoprints and some watercolor paintings. Glacier Collapse was created in 2022 as I branched out into vibrant acrylics, and multi-media abstract techniques. This piece is acrylic paint, mixed with a tissue collage. I love the light and natural colors and hues of Gabriola Island which inspire me as I walk the trails. I feel this piece speaks to the walks we all know in the mountains of Vancouver Island in the fading northwest light.
