Fragility 2: Birch Tree in Woodland
Oil
92.44 cm x 92.44 cm
$1,275
This painting called Fragility is part of a series of paintings isolating birch trees that grow near a pond in the forest. The young birch tree is a resilient but fragile life form struggling in the wild forest that surrounds where I live. The forest is alive with activity and events that are often hidden or barely perceived – the movement of birds, the shimmer of water, the wind in leaves that are being cast away as new ones grow. Fragility is a celebration of the renewing life that abounds in the forest.
