As an artist, I strive to create artwork that conveys to those around me the beauty I see in everyday life, particularly in nature. In my art I enjoy capturing still movement. The creation of Captured in Time was inspired by my fascination and observation of the colours and movements of these beautiful hummingbirds in my backyard. My piece is made of foam, the feathers and flowers are collaged from magazine clippings, and the base is a piece of driftwood that my mom and I found on a local beach. As an emerging artist, I am grateful for all the opportunities I receive to share my passion with others.
