But We Didn’t Know You Were Seeds. Credit to the original phrase written by Greek poet, Konstantinos Dimitriadis: “They Tried to Bury Us, They Didn’t Know We Were Seeds”.
The hideous truth is that we, as colonizers, did this very thing to those people whose ancestral home was here before the arrival of Europeans…
The truth, before reconciliation.
These three, mixed media scrolls are hand-drawn on mylar, coloured with pencil crayon and pastel and coated with acrylic spray for durability.
