Join us for an outdoor art session ‘en plein air’ at Bright Angel Park.
Facilitators Carmen Stanek and Shirley Dickie offer basics on painting outside , tips and tricks to find your perfect view frame, and some useful watercolour and drawing techniques. Watercolour is the most portable of paints and can be used in a variety of techniques. This session will be focused on simple techniques to achieve results on location. A basic selection of watercolour paints and paper will be provided.
Bring your own materials if possible and be prepared to sit by the river or in the trees on your own stool or chair. If you prefer to use other mediums – please do !
Participants meet at the picnic shelter and move into separate locations after an introduction and presentation by the facilitators. Return to the shelter for lunch (bring your own) and closing .
